EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We don’t have any specific age restrictions. We’d just recommend that you only sign up for the distance you feel comfortable completing.
Definitely. If you reach your target distance and decide you want to go further, that would be amazing! Or, if you decide at a later date that you can’t quite reach your set distance, this is also not a problem. It would be great if you could keep us updated with any changes, and we’d suggest letting your supporters know too by updating your JustGiving page and reaching out to them on social media.
There are plenty of fantastic free apps out there which can track your distance. We’d recommend using Strava as this can be linked straight to your JustGiving page. This means that your supporters can see the distance you’ve covered and the funds you’ve raised all in one place! For more information on connecting Strava to your JustGiving page, please follow the link here.
This is completely up to you. As a team, you can either choose your own individual distance or work together towards a combined total. We would recommend deciding a set distance with your team, and then work collectively to reach your goal. This can be a great way to spur you all on by creating a bit of fun, friendly competition.
Not at all. You can cycle as many or as few days as you’d like to complete your distance. You might even choose to test yourself and cycle the whole challenge in one day! Alternatively it might be helpful to plan ahead week by week, so that you’re sure to reach your full distance by the end of September.
In order for us to cover the cost of the event, the fundraising target is £125 per person. You can absolutely fundraise as a team, but in this case your fundraising requirement will need to be combined. So, if you have 5 team members, your combined target will need to be £625.
We’ll support you every step of the way with your fundraising. We’ll be in touch with you from the day you sign up, until you finish your Cycle4Sepsis, offering advice and tips along the way.
Yes, you can absolutely increase your fundraising target. All you need to do is log into your account and click ‘Edit your Page’.
If you receive any donations outside of your JustGiving page, you can simply add them to your page as an offline donation. Find out how here.
All funds raised will go towards our charitable aims of raising public awareness, educating healthcare professionals, instigating political change and offering support to those affected by this devastating condition.
